MarkMyWords 2.11.3 released
MarkMyWords 2.11.3 is now available on the Mac App Store!
This update of MarkMyWords offers an extensive list of improvements, optimizations and bug fixes in various areas that further improve working with the application. This update also offers new functions that can be helpful when working with texts.
For Markdown, MarkdownExtra and MultiMarkdown there is now the option to automatically insert two spaces whem doing a line break. Since inserting two spaces to create a manual line break does not usually reflects to the natural writing style, this feature might be helpful.
The extended import function for CSV tables is also interesting for MultiMarkdown and MarkdownExtra users. If the CSV file contains alignment formatting for the columns in MarkdownExtra or MultiMarkdown format, this is automatically recognized and resolved. The complete list of changes:
New:
- new option for Markdown, MultiMarkdown and MarkdownExtra: Magic Double Space. This feature adds two spaces to the end of the last line when a line break occurs. If there are two line breaks, the two spaces of the last line will be removed again
- Markers in texts that are inserted via copy&paste: The first marker is automatically selected after pasting
- new trick for importing CSV tables in MultiMarkdown and MarkdownExtra. If the second line contains alignment elements(:

:), MarkMyWords recognizes them and adjusts the imported table accordingly
Improvements:
- improved the template save panel. In addition, the user interface of the panel has been revised
- Template selection panel is updated after adding a new template even when documents are open
- user interface of the Template Insert panel has been revised
- improvement when inserting text clips with markers. The selection marker {*} is now converted correctly
- check text area, highlighting an error by clicking on the corresponding entry, it is now possible to click again to trigger the highlighting again
- improved copy and paste behavior of the text editor with activated option “Paste formatted”. Source code and plain text copied from web browsers are now better recognized
- improvements to the display of the individual elements in the sidebar for the text clips area
- improved the behavior of the editor when using the move-cursor keyboard shortcuts
- minor adjustments to the Markup templates for image and link for the Markdown, MarkdownExtra and MultiMarkdown languages. Fields two and three are now preset with markers, which allows faster editing of the respective markups

Bug fixes:
- fixes a display error in the settings for the editor
- fixes a bug in Distraction-Free mode that caused fonts (color, size, style) to be set incorrectly under certain settings
- fixes a problem with the editor when syntax coloring is active, the text is longer than the actual text field and other certain settings are present, which caused the editor to behave strangely when scrolling
- fixes a bug with the style display dotted and dashed in the text check
- fixes an inaccuracy in the counting of characters in the formatted text
- text check error coloring and syntax coloring no longer get in each other's way
- fixes a bug with cursor customization in certain text type, size and cursor settings that caused the cursor to not have the desired appearance
- fixes an error when setting the options for line numbering in the preferences
- fixes a bug with tab actions (text clips) that contain markers that markers are not resolved correctly
- fixes a bug that prevented RTFD files from being able to be selectable in the import selection window under certain circumstances
- fixes a bug when importing RTFD documents with images in Markdown, MarkdownExtra and MultiMarkdown documents
- fixes a bug when importing text documents in which headline markup was also provided with bold markup
- fixes a bug in conjunction with Markers in the markup languages Markdown, MarkdownExtra, MultiMarkdown with the italic markup
Internal Markup Parser:
- improved handling of commented out text in Markdown, MarkdownExtra, MultiMarkdown
