Collecting general information when visiting the Xelaton.com website

We would like to point out that when e-mails are sent, in addition to the corresponding e-mail addresses, further information (e.g. the providers involved) that is necessary for e-mail traffic and its content is processed, for example to detect viruses, spam, phishing e-mails and so on.

We would like to point out that emails are generally stored unencrypted and are generally only encrypted during transportation. There is no encryption on the sender's or recipient's servers unless special end-to-end encryption (e.g. PGP) is used. We can therefore accept no responsibility for the security of emails in transit.




Personal data and how it is being used when using Xelaton applications

Xelaton offers test versions of its applications on Xelaton.com. These are equipped with an update checker (check for new versions).

To check for updates, the respective application contacts Xelaton.com and retrieves a text file containing the current version number of the application. This number is then compared with that of the currently running application and if a newer version is available via Xelaton.com, the option to load the new version is offered.
Accessing Xelaton.com for version checking is technically comparable to accessing the website via a browser and the data collected is almost identical to that described under “Collection of general information when visiting the Xelaton.com website”.

The applications of Xelaton can be purchased through the Mac App Store. The purchase of Xelaton's applications through the Mac App Store is handled through Apple Distribution International, Ireland ("Apple") in Europe. The data resulting from this purchase (for example, the name of the buyer) will be collected and processed by Apple only. Xelaton only learns the date and the subject of the purchase.



Note on working with the respective applications

The applications of Xelaton (#Gazer, eBookBinder, Essaylum, MarkMyWords, MarkupTable, Myary, Note-C)) offer the possibility of the integration of external resources (pictures, videos and other elements) through the User. Please note thereby the respective data protection guidelines of the offerers whose resources you integrate.

Applications that use LanguageTool,org spell checker

The applications AnoLTEd, Essaylum, MarkMyWords from Xelaton offer the possibility to use the spell checker of LanguageTool.org. The text entered by the user is sent to the LanguageTool.org servers on request. To activate this function, the user must first take note of LanguageTool.org's privacy policy. A corresponding button leading to the privacy policy is clearly visible at the point where this function can be activated. The button leads directly to LanguageTool.org's privacy policy.



Disclosure of your data

In principle, Xelaton will not pass personal data on to third parties without reservation. Due to laws, litigation, legal proceedings, and / or government and regulatory requirements, Xelaton may be required to disclose personal information.
